Ecstasy pills containing no MDMA are currently circulating in Europe (since August 2026). They contain caffeine, NEP or the particularly dangerous PMMA. A major risk factor is redosing when you’re not feeling the expected effects.
PMMA only hits after 1–2 hours. It causes more overheating and side effects than “rolling“ sensations. Your life may be at risk especially when it’s redosed or combined with MDMA or SSRI antidepressants. This is because PMMA doesn’t just cause the release of a lot of serotonin in your brain, it also hinders its metabolization (MAO inhibitor).
